Late Summer / Earth Element Affirming message of the season: "I am safe"& "I am whole."
Caring-Worrying-Stability Me-Time,Boundaries
When did you stop for a minute and think about what are the places, and who are the ones that fill you up, nurture you, nourish you physically and emotionally? When was the last time you felt united with the earth and nature? When have you ever wondered why you let others to cross your boundaries that caused you pain, but didn't say anything because kindness is your nature and you didn't want to hurt anyone else?
According to the Chinese Five Elements, late summer relates to the Earth element, stomach, spleen and pancreatic meridian.
The stomach, spleen and pancreas are all involved in converting food and drinks into energy and blood. The quality of our energy and blood affects our overall health (emotional, mental, physical, spiritual).
Earth element types are empathetic, caring, striving for peace and harmony, and these character traits manifest through their kindness. They often tend to give more (attention, care) than they receive in return, in which case they close themselves. Their main task is to set healthy boundaries and to nurture themselves first so they can give to others.
When the Earth element is out of balance, excessive worry arises, we can feel stuck in a certain circle -spiral of thoughts that will not let us rest even at night. It can help to realize that nothing is permanent, everything is constantly changing, everything is passing away both good and bad; and if we believe that we have the power to either solve or let go every obstacle that is thrown at us.
